how can i conduct a workshop aimed at teamwork through music?
any ideas…i will be dealing with people that know nothing about music theory ,rhythm theory and playing instruments..
how can i keep it light and fun….with not more than guidelines for music theory…its about teamwork and not so much about the finished product…..but ending up with noise will teach them nothing but that they dont know how to co-ordinate..and this will soon lead to frustraton and a failure of the workshop…

Make a rainforest noise.
Split the people into four equal groups.
First group rubs their palms together/up and down.
Second group clicks their fingers at different times.
Third group pats their knees.
Fourth group stomps the floor.
Really sounds like rain! Bring each group in a short while after the next to build it up. Sorry, this has not much to do with music. You could somehow change the clicks and patting to be on an instrument or something? It’s a really nice teamwork exercise and you can see if you can all stop at the same time just by “feeling” it.
