What is the best video camera for using in an indoor riding arena?
Want to video riding lessons, sale horses, horse shows and looking for the best camera for this use in what can be low light area. Want to upload to YouTube, create webinars etc. Also plan on selling video’s to horse show participants. Heard a DSLR Canon is supposed to be great for this use, but unsure. Need some advice. Sending a staff member to take training. Less than 10k for all equipment.
The reason I would not buy a DSLR for video shooting of horses, is because they don’t offer continuous auto focus. Every time a horse moves away or towards you, you will need to re-focus by pressing the shutter button half way or putting the lens on manual focus. You’d be able to get a Canon XF300 or Sony AX2000 with some change from your $10K budget. These are dedicated video cameras and you will get professional results.
