Question about home photography studio lighting?
Hi, I have been photographing weddings and models for five years now, but I know very little about indoor portraits. I have a backdrop stand, a white background and some bottom of the line 300w (atleast I think. I haven’t used it for awhile) continuous lighting.
I would like to get better at indoor photography and have read alot of people’s blogs about ways to go about it. However, I’m not sure about the specifics. I’m thinking one very large softbox would do the trick. I have a speedlite 430ex, by the way. Should I get strobe or continuous lighting? If I get strobe, can I use my speedlite, and if so… what all do I need? Are name brands really better than the latter? I would like to keep it between $200-300. Thanks for any help.
