Video Lighting Fluorescent

In the original splinter cell for pc, I’m getting annoying light bars on the sides. How to get rid of them?
All across the right side and bottom, like a glowing fluorescent light bulb. I tried the 1.2 patch, and adjusting video settings, but nothing worked. It’s so annoying that it’s unplayable this way. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
