It is a business license required for freelance photography?
I've been working in the studio for two years as a photographer. Recently I decided I wanted my wings a bit and do events, weddings, etc. .. In order to be hired for my services and have customers for prints of my photos is a business license required? Not having a survey of some standard lighting equipment and camera. I plan on doing this in California. Did not mean to say that the intention of leaving my current job. So I'm ready to work outside the studio. I have years of exp with photoshop too. I can also print quality prints proffesional the study. I was advised you may need a business license to be employed legally for my services and sale of paintings.
NO. but you have to register as workers on their own or at very least declare their independent income tax return. a
