Is there really pure white light?
If you know something about producing images for film or video, you will know that unless you use the proper film material or calibrate the camera, you will never have pure white colors. That is because the color temperature of the light. It would seem that what actualy looks like white light has small variations and it has certain amount of hue, that varies from red to blue, with yellow and orange in the middle. Must of the time we are unaware of that as our brain campensates the variation of the color our eyes are seeing. But, does all light have some color or is there really some pure white light in nature?
White light is a mixture of all visible wavelengths and not a specific color itself, so the probability that these wavelengths will be mixed in precisely the right proportions and intensities to be perceived as “pure white” by humans is vanishingly small.
