I want to buy some dj equipment need help!?
Ok I’m a 21 year old musician/gear nerd and have lots of music gear and a pretty legit home studio. So I’m not a rookie. As for Dj equip I do not know shit about! I need some help! I have a $1,100 budget and I want to know what i need, I want to be a dj because It’s the best job for me it will give me time for school,my music and I developed a passion for it. I have monitors, PA systems and cables lights & live sound already so that’s clear. I would like to do raves and djay at clubs in downtown, (I don’t know if it matters what equip I use for genres of music) but in all i would like to have one of those rigs with the laptop in front turntables mixer some midi controllers to make add some sounds etc. The big question is what equipment do I buy? should I need? which is better? which sucks? good prices? websites? tutorials? you know something i’ll be set with, I’m ready to put my mind in this so please help!
I use the Numark Mixtrack Pro which hooks up to your laptop using Virtual Dj.
Not sure if it is vinyl you are looking for but I produce my own music using FL Studio so its all in mp3/wav format. Check out some videos on Youtube on the Mixtrack Pro, I think you can pick one up for around £169 and its perfect for semi-pro users. I produce trance / techno music using it with Fruity Loops Studio.
