Studio Lighting for Makeup Videos?
I make beauty videos, or makeup tutorials and things, on youtube and I am looking invest in some studio lighting. I am on a student’s budget, so I’d prefer not to spend $500 on lights. I was thinking of two soft boxes but, I’m not sure what I really need for the best lighting. I need something that looks good with an HD cam corder and shows the true colors of the makeup and things! Thank you for your time!
You will need a light bulb that contains the primary colors of light: Red, blue and green. The primary colors of light will add to create “white light” which is sunlight at its brightest. It’s the harshest light and is the only light where the true color is revealed.
Try going to an industrial lighting warehouse for the fixtures.
