Photography Questions about light and shadows.?
When photographing people or objects in bright light with dark shadows, what technique do photographers use to add some light to the shadows without resorting to extra flash or photo flood ligts?
It is customary to think that great portraits are taken in expensive studios filled with fancy lgithting equipment. We can make similar photos with only a few dollars invested if we build our home studio using the concept of what type of lighting?
You can use a reflective surface to fill in. It doesn’t even have to be a reflector. I’ve seen large styrofoam boards being used in the past, all it needs to do is reflect some light.
