My wifi on my laptop is suddenly not working?
I had no trouble using the wireless internet here, but all of a sudden it stopped working. My boyfriend brought his wireless xbox over and that would detect the network but it wouldn’t connect. . .the connection is a bit low.
Anyways, when we plug the ethernet cord directly into our TV, XBox, or Laptop we have no trouble – that is why I don’t think my wifi card is broken…
However, the little computer icon that usually appears to detect networks in the lower right corner of my screen has completely disappared. Also, there is a switch on the bottom of my laptop that, when switch to the “on” side lights up blue (for the wifi). It will not light up now (stays orange like it is when it’s off).
So I really don’t even know where to begin. I live in a studio which is connected to my landlords house which is where the router is located. So I can’t connect an extention kit…and again, I dont think i shoudl have to considering it worked before!
Suggestions anyone?
first check your wifi is enabled or not if it is not then right click my network places>>properties>>right click your wireless network icon and click enable, this configuration is for windows xp if you are using windows vista then goto start >> network >> manage network connection >> right click your wireless adapter and click enable. if this doesnt work try to connect wireless through any other laptop.
