Umbrella vs. Softbox?
I was wanting some opinion’s on the best choice, pro’s and con’s, and difference’s between the two. Also, I was wanting to know the difference, pro’s and con’s, and the best choice between continuous light, speed flash, and strobe flash for the umbrella and softbox. I have been researching the two, but I am still as confused as ever, and I cant really find too much information on the different types of light choices. Thank you in advance!
There is really no difference when it comes to the two, just personal preference.
I personally like the softboxes better. Why? Because the umbrellas tend to have a less “controlled” light flow, and kind of just bounce light back at wherever it wants, unlike the softboxes, which will stay in the same general area of the box.
