video limits on recording?
Im doing a project for school. Im going to be sending up a weather balloon and it either needs to take video or pictures in a continuous more for at least 3 hours. i took in mind that i need a pretty big card, and if i go for cheap SD card that the mbps might be slow and choppy when edit.
What i need to know is simple, i need a camera that WILL record or take pictures for 3 hours, ill add a uv filter and make is freeze proof with a gel my science group created. Some things im looking for is HD, 720p is more then enough and i have a class10 32GB card, that will do if the average camera take 7.2MB/sec. Small as possible, as well for weight. it doesnt have to be a flip camera, for a point and shoot. no wifi cameras, webcams with netbooks. we want light and modular. batteries we have a work around. if anyone has any ideas please msg me asap. if more info is needed ill add it when it pops up
try an Olympus Stylus 8000 “Tough”. it is rated for waterproof, if you go through a cloud, also rated for freezing temperatures. light lithium battery. used an XD card. shoots HD video in the movie mode. economic price, under $300 most places.
